Spellbulary was started in 2005 as a fun and competitive event to encourage spelling and vocabulary. An annual competition, Spellbulary is Hong Kong’s only citywide Spelling bee. Not only does Spellbulary test spelling but it also includes a vocabulary component in the contest.
Group 1 Ages 6-7, Group 2 Ages 8-9, Group 3 Ages 10-12.

Spellbulary 2017 will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at KYP Sheung Wan.

How to study for Spellbulary
- Read, read, read! Acquire a good vocabulary base through reading.
- When you encounter a word you do not know, look it up.
- Keep a journal of new vocabulary words and review the journal frequently. If possible, make flashcards.
- Make studying for Spellbulary a family activity–test each other at the dinner table and have practice rounds at home with your parents.
