Intermediate Creative Writing

Intermediate Creative Writing — Ages 10-11

At the Intermediate level, students delve into the more complex aspects of creative writing. We teach students literary techniques such as characterization, conflict, and tension. We challenge students to experiment with figurative language, rhythm and rhyme schemes, personification, sound devices and more! We introduce students to the various genres and subgenres of literature, like short stories, fantasy, humor, paranormal, mysteries, memoirs and science fiction.

As writers, we know that the only way to improve is to write a lot. Thus, we try to make writing fun for our students, something they will greatly enjoy doing with their time. In Intermediate Creative Writing, we expose students to a wide range of writing challenges. We encourage our students to constantly find new ways to express themselves and expand their imagination. If your student loves to write and is ready for a challenge, sign up for this course!
