Paul Smith is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French. Paul brings to KYP a wealth of international experience, and he seeks to inspire this same interest in global affairs through his role as head of our Model United Nations (MUN) program and as a Critical Thinking, Debate, and Global Thinking instructor. Previously, he was both a high school delegate and university staff member at the National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) conference held annually at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. While in college, he held internships with Baltimore City Council in the U.S. and with Ubuntu Africa, an NGO specializing in the treatment of children with HIV/AIDS in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to joining KYP, he worked in Hong Kong as a marketing consultant and as in international admissions officer for the Chinese University of Hong Kong. This hands-on experience is helpful in his work at KYP with our admissions and test prep students. Paul insights on global education have been published in the South China Morning Post, and he has appeared as a panelist at the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
